It's not uncommon for organizations to get out of sync. It could be due to specific tensions between leadership, hiring practices, ongoing training, and the day-to-day demands of the work. It could due to changing times and a segment of the school that doesn't adapt in the same way as others. There could be deeper misalignments of values, visions, mission orientation.
All of these have impact, and in education, all impacts eventually reach our students. When we realize that we're out of sync with one another, it's our professional obligation to find and address the root cause or causes. It's helpful to have specific, effective frameworks to go through this process. It helps more to bring in a third party with experience and training in this work.
